本作品希望傳達「破浪－超越自我、築夢－堅毅踏實、飛翔－志向遠大」的教育精神，同時展現土城高中卓越、創新、紮實與宏觀的辦學視野；以舟楫破浪而出的意象為型，表達無懼困難、超越自我的勇氣，亦藉由將重重波浪轉化為層層山嶺的意象，表達學子向學應該築夢踏實，從學養與知識中累積出不凡的成就，同時透過「展翅高飛」的形象，透露出藝術家期許莘莘學子們，要有遠大志向，勇敢追求遠大抱負的遠景。

Artist's Interpretation：This piece aims to transmit the educational spirit of Breaking Waves－to transcend the individual self, Dreaming－to be strong and steadfast, and Flying－to be ambitious” while expressing the excellent, innovative and macroscopic view of Tu-Cheng High School. The image of the vessel breaking waves expresses the courage to be fearless and to transcend one’s individual self and that of transforming waves into mountains means that students should keep dreaming and be steadfast while learning. Extraordinary achievements are accumalated through self-cultivation and knowledge. Meanwhile, through the “flying” image, the artist reveals the anticipation of students holding aspirations and pursuing ambitions without any fear.
